Privacy Policy

This policy describes what VastuLive collects, why, and who processes it. VastuLive is provided by Bharadwaj Chava, an individual developer based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, trading as Foundational Creations (not a registered company), who is the data fiduciary (and, for the GDPR, the controller) of your personal data and its Grievance Officer. It is written to match what the app actually does. VastuLive shows no advertising, does not track you across other apps or websites, and sells nothing to anyone.

1. Information We Collect

(a) Account identity - required. You sign in with Google, or on iPhone and iPad with Apple. That provider confirms who you are and shares your email address and, where you allow it, your name; if you use Apple's Hide My Email, we receive only the relay address. There are no passwords. Builds that offer sign-in by mobile number store that number with your account instead. (b) Profile - the name and gender you enter. (c) Birth details - optional. Date, time and place of birth are used only for the optional astrology overlay; your home's Vaastu analysis never uses them. If you enter a birth city, that city name (not your device location) is converted to coordinates. You can skip this entirely, and skipping changes nothing about your home's results. (d) Floor plans and room scans - the plan images you upload or photograph, and, on LiDAR iPhones and iPads, the room outlines and fixtures produced by Walk My Home, are uploaded to our servers, because analysing them is the purpose of the app. Walk My Home sends outlines and a compass heading, never camera images. Plans are stored in your account until you delete them. Location and other metadata embedded in a photo are removed before it is stored. (e) Analyses - the scores, findings and reports produced from your plans. (f) App analytics and feedback - in-app events (for example, that an analysis started or finished) and any feedback text you choose to send. We do NOT collect your device's location, your contacts, your photo library beyond the images you pick, advertising identifiers, or payment details.

2. How We Use Your Information

(a) To analyse the floor plans and room scans you provide and produce your Vaastu results, findings and remedies. (b) To sign you in and keep your plans and results available on your account. (c) To produce the optional astrology overlay, when you have supplied birth details. (d) To fix faults and improve the app, using usage events and any feedback you send. (e) To reply when you contact support. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or automated decisions with legal effects, and we do not sell or rent it.

3. Who Processes Your Data

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. It is handled by these processors on our behalf: (a) Supabase - account and authentication, database, and storage of your floor-plan images. (b) Google and Apple - confirm your identity when you choose to sign in with them. (c) Google Cloud - hosting of our analysis service (Cloud Run), and Google Vertex AI, which reads the room labels and printed dimensions on the plan you upload. Your plan is sent to Vertex AI only if you allow it, which the app asks you before your first analysis and which you can change at any time under Profile, Read plans with Google AI. It is used for that purpose only and not to train Google's models. (d) Your phone's built-in geocoding service (Apple or Google) and, if that does not return coordinates, OpenStreetMap Nominatim - convert a birth city name you type into coordinates, when you supply one. Only the city name is sent. (e) Twilio - delivers the one-time sign-in code by SMS, only in builds that offer sign-in by mobile number. (f) On our website only, and only if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics measures page visits; see our Cookie Policy. We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of users, and your data may transfer as part of a merger or acquisition.

4. Data Security

Data is encrypted in transit over HTTPS and encrypted at rest by our hosting providers. Access to production systems is restricted, and your floor-plan images sit in private storage that is not publicly browsable. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we take these measures we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Your Rights and Choices

You may (a) see the data held about you, (b) correct it, (c) delete it, (d) obtain a copy, and (e) withdraw consent for the optional parts, such as birth details or reading plans with Google AI, at any time. The fastest route to deletion is in the app: Profile, then Delete Account. That removes your account, your floor plans and their images, your analyses and your profile immediately. You can also write to our Grievance Officer, Bharadwaj Chava, at privacy@foundationalcreations.com; we acknowledge within 48 hours and aim to resolve within 15 days. 6. Data Retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your floor plans, their images, your analyses and your profile are deleted immediately rather than on a retention timer. Backups may retain copies for up to 30 days before they expire. Anonymous usage events, which are not linked to your account, may be kept for analysis.

7. Children's Privacy

Vaastu is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. International Data Transfers

Our analysis service runs in India (Google Cloud, asia-south1). Some processors named above operate in other countries, including the United States, so your information may be processed outside your country of residence under those providers' standard contractual protections.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Your continued use of the Services after any modifications indicates your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
