This page explains how Foundational Creations, which provides VastuLive, handles the personal data of people in the European Union, the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes in full what we collect and why.

1. Data Controller

The controller of the personal data processed through VastuLive is Bharadwaj Chava, an individual developer based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, trading as Foundational Creations. Contact for all data-protection matters: privacy@foundationalcreations.com. We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, because our processing does not meet the conditions in Article 37 GDPR that require one. We have not appointed a representative in the EU or UK under Article 27 GDPR; questions about that position can be sent to the same address.

2. Legal Basis for Processing

(a) Contract (Article 6(1)(b)): to create your account, analyse the plans and scans you submit, and show you your reports. (b) Consent (Article 6(1)(a)): to send your plan images to Google Cloud Vertex AI, to process optional birth details for the astrology overlay, and to set analytics cookies on our website. You can withdraw consent at any time in the app or with the website's Cookie settings link. (c) Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)): to keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and fix faults using usage events that are not linked to your account. (d) Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)): where the law requires us to keep or disclose data. We do not send marketing communications.

3. Your Rights Under GDPR

You have the right to (a) access your personal data; (b) have it corrected; (c) have it erased - the fastest route is Profile, then Delete Account, in the app; (d) restrict its processing; (e) receive it in a portable, machine-readable format; (f) object to processing based on legitimate interests; and (g) withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects: the Vaastu report is informational and you can correct every reading it is based on. To exercise a right, email privacy@foundationalcreations.com. We respond within one month, extendable by two further months for complex requests, in which case we will tell you why.

4. International Transfers

Our analysis service runs in India (Google Cloud, asia-south1), and some of our processors operate in the United States and elsewhere. Where personal data leaves the EU, EEA or UK, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum) incorporated in our processors' data-processing terms, or on an adequacy decision where one applies. You may ask us for information about these safeguards.

5. Data Retention

We keep your account data while your account exists and delete it immediately when you delete your account; backups expire within 30 days. Usage events not linked to your account may be kept longer for analysis. Details are in our Privacy Policy and Data Deletion Policy.

6. Complaints

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the data-protection supervisory authority in the country where you live or work, or where you believe an infringement occurred. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first at privacy@foundationalcreations.com.
